On November 5, the first China International Import Exposition was solemnly opened in Shanghai. Chinese President Xi Jinping voiced the strongest voice of all-round opening and cooperation to the world.

More than 3,000 enterprises from more than 130 countries participated in the exhibition. Nearly 5,000 exhibits of various types were first shown in China. At 6 p.m. on November 5, Georgia and China's Anhui (Chaohu) Import Food Industrial Park formally signed the admission agreement at the Four Seasons Hotel in Shanghai.

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bahtaze Meets Xia Yang

Prior to the signing ceremony, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bahtaze met with Xiayang and held bilateral economic and trade cooperation talks.

Mamuka Bahtaze said that at this event, we are very honored to be a partner of Huizhou merchants. Georgia is the only country in Eurasia that has signed a free trade agreement with China, and we are very proud of that. The purpose of our participation in this Expo is to seek cooperation with different countries in the world in various products and services.

Subsequently, Xia Yang briefed Premier Mamuka Bahtaze on the construction of the Import Food Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as "Import Food Industrial Park") in Anhui Province. The Import Food Industrial Park is located in the Chaohu Economic Development Zone, Anhui Province, with obvious location advantages and convenient transportation. Shanghai is very close to the World Trade Center, and openness, innovation and inclusiveness have become the common temperament of the region. Xia Yang said that the first phase of the project has been completed, resulting in 150,000 square meters of imported food exhibition and marketing center, 70,000 square meters of integrated service center and 60,000 square meters of indoor storage and processing (including 20,000 square meters of bonded warehouse).

It is reported that the project is developed and constructed by Guangdong Yinrui Investment Management Group Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 1.5 billion to 1.8 billion yuan, aiming at creating six platforms: buying and selling national, imported food B2B2C, experience of exotic culture and travel, integration of exhibition, research, Canada and trade services, cross-border business intelligence, and direct supply of imported food for domestic demand. Prime Minister Mamuka Bahtaze spoke highly of the cooperation. He said that the Expo not only allowed Georgia to show its unique products and services to the world, but also provided an important platform and opportunity for Georgian enterprises to export superior products to China. The entry into Anhui (Chaohu) Import Food Industry Park in China is like attending a never-ending "Expo Entry", which is conducive to the faster, deeper and more stable development of Georgia in the Chinese market.

With the testimony of Prime Minister Mamuka Bahtaze, Georgian government officials, representatives of guests from the Import Food Industry Park and the media of the two countries, David Saganelize, President of the Georgian National Partnership Foundation, and Xia Yang, formally signed the Georgian Cooperation Agreement, which represents the next step for Georgian food enterprises to enter the import food market one after another. The product industry park injects a "strong heart" into the development of the industrial park and the cooperation between the two sides.


At the same time, it is also the third country after Australia and New Zealand to be stationed in Anhui (Chaohu) Import Food Industry Park of China in the form of a national "legion".
